The conditions under which foreign citizens are allowed to enter and to stay in Montenegro:
The entrance and staying of foreign citizens in is regulated:
1. With the decision about the annulment of visas for the entrance and staying in Serbia and Montenegro (“Official gazette of S&M”, No. 2, dating from 30.05.2003);
2. With the decision about the conditions under which foreign citizens are allowed to enter and to stay in the Republic of Montenegro (“Official gazette of Republic of Montenegro”. No. 36, dating from 03.06.2004).
1. In accordance with the decision about the annulment of visas for the entrance and staying in Serbia and Montenegro, the citizens of following countries can enter and stay up to 90 days without visas:
Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Island, Monaco, Lichtenstein, Vatican, Andorra, San Marino, Israel, Cyprus, Malta, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, USA, Canada, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, with the usage of all traveling papers, as well as the citizens of Albania, Russian Federation and Ukraine, solely for tourist visit up to 30 days with the usage of all traveling papers.
Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, and Macedonia can use ID cards and stay up to 30 days with issuing of tourist pass on crossing borders.
2. With the decision about the conditions under which foreign citizens are allowed to enter and stay in republic of Montenegro, the possibility of using of ID cards for the citizens of the states which are members of EU (Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Cyprus, and Poland) is predicted.
Citizens of other countries need visas if bilateral relations about the visa regime have not been concluded. However, citizens of other countries can get a visa in embassies and diplomatic missions of Montenegro, or Serbia. If an embassy, or diplomatic mission do not exist in some country visa application should be submitted in some other nearest embassy or diplomatic mission of Montenegro, or Serbia.
